For a long time, I felt stuck in "student-led" clubs that weren't actually student-led at all. They were just teacher-managed weekly meetings, wrapped in red tape, where youth were managed instead of truly empowered. I knew there had to be a better way to give driven people the space and resources they need to reach their full potential, but for a while, I just kept waiting.
Then, during a shift at work at exactly 9:16 PM, I was running the ideas through my head, and I just thought: I'm starting my own organization. Right now.
That night, I coordinated the details, built the framework, and launched The Young Constituents. TYC isn't a temporary "passion product." It is a system designed to take in driven youth and produce proven leaders who make a real, tangible impact in their communities. We're done waiting for permission. Welcome to TYC.
